What we collect

We only collect information that you give us directly or that is gathered automatically when you visit our website.

  • Any other details you share with us by phone, email or in person when discussing a project

Information collected automatically:

  • Basic analytics data through Google Analytics (GA4), including pages visited, time on site, approximate location (city level), device type and browser. This data is anonymised and cannot identify you personally.

Why we collect it

We use your information for the following purposes, each with a lawful basis under UK GDPR:

  • To respond to your enquiry or provide a quoteLegitimate interest. When you fill in our contact form or call us, we use your details to get back to you and discuss your project.
  • To carry out landscaping workContract. If you hire us, we need your contact details and property address to deliver our services.
  • To understand how our website is usedLegitimate interest. We use Google Analytics to see which pages are popular and how visitors find us, so we can improve the site. No personally identifiable information is shared with Google.
  • To send occasional updatesConsent. We will only send you marketing emails if you have opted in, and you can unsubscribe at any time.

  • Cookie consent — Remembers whether you have accepted or declined analytics cookies. This is a strictly necessary cookie and does not require consent.

We do not use any advertising, tracking or social media cookies.

Who we share your data with

We do not sell your personal information to anyone. We only share data with a small number of trusted services that help us run our business:

  • Hostinger — Our email hosting provider, which processes emails sent to and from our business email address

All of these providers have their own privacy policies and process data in accordance with UK GDPR or equivalent standards.

How long we keep your data

  • Contact form enquiries — We keep your details for up to 2 years after your last contact with us, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
  • Client project records — We retain project details for up to 6 years for legal and accounting purposes.
  • Analytics data — Google Analytics data is retained for 14 months, after which it is automatically deleted.

How we protect your data

We take reasonable steps to keep your information safe:

  • Our website uses HTTPS encryption for all data transmitted between your browser and our servers
  • Email communications are handled through a secure, password-protected business email account
  • Access to personal data is limited to those who need it to carry out their role

No system is completely secure, but we do our best to protect the information you share with us.
